Weather
Observations and discussions about weather and the climate are a great way to teach children about science. It is something children see and feel and it affects their lives on a daily basis. Weather will dictate the clothing they wear, the food they eat and the activities they are able to engage in. Weather also has a dramatic side with lightning strikes, thunderstorms, floods and tornadoes. Children are often fascinated by these natural phenomena and keen to learn more about their character and composition. Because weather affects everyone in both positive and negative ways, learning about it has an important role in our curriculum.
