Puzzles
Puzzles provide many skills, mental learning benefits and opportunities for children. Puzzles challenge our thinking by increasing visual spatial awareness, forcing us to develop strategies for problem solving. The physical benefits of puzzle work are hand eye coordination, fine gross motor skill development. Then there are the emotional benefits of working on a puzzle which includes social interaction and boosting self esteem and perseverance skills. Puzzles offer valuable educational benefits which support child development. As a teaching resource they are durable, constant and come in varying levels of complexity.
