The study of matter is a study of chemistry and the changes matter undergoes (solid, liquid, gas) which can be demonstrated in the classroom using simple everyday objects. Terms such as composting, decomposition, filtration, recycling, chemical reactions, environmental sustainability and the development of new materials are commonplace in the study of the material world. Using their knowledge of chemistry, students will be able to better understand science-related challenges.
