Wooden vehicles such as railway sets have become extremely popular in recent years. Wood is a gratifyingly tactile material that stands up to loads of wear and tear. Building blocks can be assembled and reassembled to create amazing architectural forms combined with wooden vehicles, whole villages and cities are built and knocked down. Wooden toys are timeless and durable. Since they don't come with sounds and light children must create their own sound effects.
